This project introduces a bold new room beneath a deep roof canopy, using structure and shadow to create a strong sense of enclosure at the edge of the garden. The design is organised around change and adaptability, with large opening elements allowing the space to shift from protected interior to open pavilion depending on season and use.

The architectural language is robust, but the planning is carefully tuned to everyday life, making the room feel both impressive and practical. Depth, shelter and controlled openness deliver a heightened spatial experience, while a disciplined palette keeps the intervention focused and coherent. It is a confident response to site and brief, creating a distinctly privileged atmosphere through spatial drama rather than decorative excess.

A dramatic garden extension that balances weight, openness and movement to create a powerful but highly liveable family space.
